SALI Members on standby to help out in Kelowna Fires
Our thoughts are with everyone dealing with the forest fires in the Kelowna area; firefighters, residents, volunteers, business’, and tourists.
We have two SALI members who are trained for disaster relief and are now on standby to help out if needed. CDART (Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team) is coordinating the evacuation of pets and livestock and has enough volunteers as of today. Depending on how long the evacuation order is in effect, they may need more help in order to relieve current volunteers.
