Backyard chicken farmers had been surprised to receive two roosters along with the chicks they ordered. When the young roosters started crowing a neighbour complained, and the Surrey By-law officers were out in full force. They gave the owners two days’ notice to remove the noise makers or else . . . 

We’d always had roosters at the farm and it’s lovely to hear crowing at Kindred again.
