Peanut’s story of kindness.
Peanut came to Kindred as a 2 month old Highland/Angus cow. She became orphaned as a young calf, as her mom became injured and was shot. Peanut joined our Kindred Family along with Gracie, who was blind. Peanut became very attached to Gracie and seemed to take on the role of becoming Gracie’s eyes, and we determined she had found her purpose as a “seeing eye cow” for her new cow friend.
When Gracie passed, Peanut found happiness in her current stablemate, Clover. Happy as can be, Peanut loves attention and affection, and you can often find her enjoying a good grooming/brushing by our volunteers, or groomed by her gal pal Clover, and basking in the sunny patches on the farm.
