Dill

Favourite Food: Romaine Lettuce Best friend: Smokey

Rabbitats asked us to take a bunny that was being picked on in their large colony. He came to us without a name. That’s a pretty sad story for a bunny. That means that no one really got to interact with him. This is a similar story for some children who are shy and quiet. In large groups at school, they can be invisible.

We gave him the name Dill because we had Pickles. And that seemed to be all he needed as he quickly integrated into our group of bunnies. He came out of his shell and we got to know his likes and dislikes when we brought out daily salad. This is a great way to get to know bunnies!

After Pickles was outcast, we ended up with only 3 rabbits in our Kindred colony. And 3 seems to be an unlucky number for rabbits. Lately we’ve noticed that Dill is often on his own because Treble and Smokey have formed a closer bond. He is accepted within the group, but is not part of the cuddle and grooming fest that happens with T and S.

Dill is very shy with people which means that we need to go out of our way to make sure we do a health check every day.
