When this black bunny arrived at Kindred he was introduced as Trouble. The story was that he was always causing trouble. Well, right away that name didn’t sit well with us. Names have significance and we were determined to help this bunny drop this label that had followed him from his foster home.

Being a senior bunny it was important to help him adjust to a new name, so we named him a word that wouldn’t be too much of a change for him. We landed on Treble.

Treble did change his ways (was it the name change?) and became best friends with Java. They were inseparable. It was a very sad day for us, and for Treble, when Java passed away. Another big change for Treble in a long life of change. But he is still with the other bunnies and has now bonded with Smokey. Treble teaches us that names do matter.
