Rescue date: Aug 6, 2017 Favourite Food: Mmmm Grass Best friend: “Volunteer Anna, she looves me”Cows are social animals and will only feel safe and happy as part of a herd. We knew it would take a bit to get Badger and Chase integrated with Gracie, so we decided to ask the farmer for one of her cow friends to come with her. The farmer agreed to give us Peanut. Peanut is a 2 month old Highland/Angus beef cow. Her mom was injured at the farm and was shot to put her out of her misery. Peanut then became very attached to Gracie and seemed to take on the role of seeing eye cow for her. Cows can live to be 15 – 20 years old, so we look forward to helping her live a long and happy life.
