First annual Bad to the Bone Pub Nite

I brought a litter of orphaned kittens to the South Surrey Vet Hospital to get them vaccinated and met the vivacious Jacqueline. She immediately asked to adopt one of the kittens and wanted to get involved in SALI. That was three years ago and since then Jacqueline has joined the Board of Directors and she is on our fundraising team. Jacqueline owns and operates the Paw Spa and spends 5 days a week washing and grooming dogs. Add to that SALI’s many dog washes that Jacqueline organizes and that’s another 200 dogs washed! Jackie always donates grooming gift certificates for prizes at our events, and helps groom any dogs that are in our Guardian Program. Jacqueline has a house full of animals. Her pet family is ever expanding, but as of today there are two chihuahuas (Chili and Walter); four cats (Pandora, Timmy, Peter Jennings-will have to get the story on that one and She-Ra-who is from SALI’s first rescue litter); two cockatiels (Pato) & Captain Feather Sword). She is raising her toddler son to follow in her footsteps and he will probably be our youngest volunteer when the time comes.
